  • Government Recognition: Our operations are recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, New Delhi.

  • State Body Support: We are officially affiliated with the Sports Authority of Karnataka (SAK).

Commitment to Excellence: A History of Competitive Success

The Council's work extends beyond preservation to ensuring that Karnataka's athletes have the opportunity to succeed at the highest levels of national competition. This commitment is evidenced by our robust schedule of official events and high-level representation:

  •

Podium Finish at National Championship: The KCK-managed team secured the prestigious Second Position (Runner-up) in the overall ranking at the 15th National Kalaripayattu Championship held in Trivandrum in August 2023.

  •

National Games Participation: The Council managed the state's team for the 37th National Games in Goa in November 2023.

  •

Khelo India Engagement: We actively prepare and send athletes to national youth events, coordinating training and selection camps for the Khelo India Youth Games in December 2022 and December 2023, and facilitating the team's participation in the 2022 Youth Games in Gwalior in February 2023.

  •

Standardized Training and Events: The KCK regularly organizes the Kalaripayattu State Championship, including events in October 2022 and July 2023, drawing high participation (150 to 180 participants) and ensuring official presence from both IKF and KCK leadership. We also conduct essential training, such as the

National Syllabus Training Camp, to maintain the highest standards of instruction.

By maintaining rigorous standards and providing clear, sanctioned pathways for training and competition, the Kalaripayattu Council of Karnataka serves as the essential link between Kalaripayattu’s ancient past and its vibrant future in the state.
